Hi,
Just read in a French document on Australian Aboriginal culture that Aborigines used "sacred flutes".
This document stipulates that these flutes (essentially made out of birds' bones) were kept hidden between the ceremonies.
I'm quite astonished...
I've always thought that Aboriginal music instruments were only : voice - clapsticks - boomerangs - didjeridu - and eventually the bullroarer.
Is there a mistake in the document or was I simply lacking information ?
Thanks for the answers.

Hi,
It was in a French book about paleolithic cave-paintings in Périgord (a region of France full of ornamented caves).
Called "Animisme & Arts premiers".

Well, in Spain many people think aboriginal people from Australia are called "Maori", lol, they don t see much of a difference between NZ and Australia..... maybe the person who wrote that, also was confused about that.....lol... (fortunately we try to educate people a bit......) never heard either about those flutes.....
