Hello everybody, my name is Jonas Fendrych and Im from Czech republic. Im quite interested in traditional aboriginal culture (im also playing didgeridoo by myself, but im not very experienced player). Thats why Im currently writing my bachelory thesis on topic Aboriginal presentation on server youtube.com. My hypothesis is that there is diference between the self-presentation and representation by others (non- culture members). I would like to point out important signs of culture that stands to represent Aboriginal people and history of Aboriginals. I have several questions need to be answered in my thesis and I would like to please you about help. If somebody found a time and writes his oppinion on this topic I would be really grateful. I would like to ask you what is the main purpouse to share the videos? And what videos do you recognize as most representative of Aboriginal culture? Do you think that traditional Aboriginal culture is still living or its displacing by dominant white culture? Do you agree with filming traditional rituals, that are part of the traditional culture, by white tourist? I saw some very good films about Aboriginal past like Rabbit proof fence or Ten Canoes and they really touched me. I think there is a lot of usolved problems in Australian history. Is it possible to increase the awareness of people about the past by watching videos? Or it is just creating the screen memories for those who dont want to forget? I know my questions are hypotetical and hard to answer I would like to start Discussion here, so every oppinion is welcomed. Also if u have some intresting links on videos it would be very useful. Thank you for your attention, after i finish i will surely give a link on my thesis in english so everybody coud read it. Have a good time Jonas
