Hello

Im new to this forum and fairly new to the didj. I started trying to learn how to play in Feb. on a "modern" PVC didj I received as a gift. Im am just learning to play rhythms and had not even considered different styles. I made a recording in hopes of getting some advice, criticism, or comments in general. I realize I have just started learning and have a loooooooooooooong way to go so don't worry about hurting my feelings.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of the didgeridoo Bill!

Having had a quick listen, it sounds like you're getting the idea nad becoming familiar with the basic tools neccessary to play this instruments. My advice would be to keep at it, listen to as much didgeridoo music as you can (youtube is full of great samples both contemporary and traditional) and enjoy yourself as you learn.

Keep us posted.

Kyle

Well done Bill, full marks for posting a clip so soon!! not bad considering you are at the start of your learning process. At least you have a clear sound, not to airy or breathy, I reckon from hearing that sample you will pick it up quite quickly as long as you give it some regular practice and listen to as much playing as you can as Kyle has already suggested. Look forward to hearing your progress

Paul

Thanks for the words. I have been watching as many videos as I can and have downloaded some music. I'll keep practicing and I'll let you know if I have any questions. I'll make another recording in a month or so too see where I am. Thanks again for all the help.
