Sounds good! I take it Darryl will be making and painting sticks. Any idea what motifs he'll be using?

Hmmm.... it seems Darryl's Aboriginal name should really be Digarrnga if we used Yolngu Matha orthography. But he's not Yolngu of course. Also, David Blanasi's Aboriginal name was Bambinat which I haven't seen written anywhere else before, although in some texts he's jokingly referred to as Peanut (in Rolf Harris' book I think)! May be a corruption of Bambinat.

Hey Martin,
You're right on the ball there... shows your grey matter is still working very well
I knew I'd seen something like that in print somewhere, but unfortunately my brain just doesn't work the way it used to...
Darryl's here at the moment by the way, having a nice sleep... he'll be able to catch the first game of the AFL season this week!
Guan

Hi Darryl,
Welcome here and congratulations on being the new artist-in-residence.
Hey Guan,
The Mago Darryl is playing looks familiar, is that a Dhugurun E by any chance?
