Manayingkarirra (Kunibidji for Maningrida) was initially set up in the 1940s as a trading post/ration depot, at a time when Aboriginal people of the area were still semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers. In the late 1950s Manayingkarirra became a permanent settlement administered by the Welfare Department and today it is one of the largest and most vibrant communities in Arnhem Land.

This section of the Forum takes its name from Arnhem Land's first trading post. Here, you can place your wanted advertisements at absolutely no cost. Or other subscribers might have the exact item you are looking for and might be willing to trade or sell it to you.
