This is gold. My prediction is that Gurrumul with this and subsequent re-mixes will hit the big big time just as "Treaty" did for Yothu Yindi, he's going to go stratospheric. I've downed it from iTunes and Wukun would have to be one of the best things I've heard all year, seriously, download it and hear for yourself. If not I can try to do a short sample to upload here.

ICONIC Territory superstar Gurrumul Yunupingu is flying up the dance charts in Europe following the release of a remix of one of his songs.

The Loverush UK version of Wukun cracked the top 20 in one of the UK's top charts.

It entered the Music Week Club chart at number 35, and jumped to number 24 the following week, before flying up to number 19 this week.

The traditional Yolgnu song is about clouds and how Aboriginal families move throughout East Arnhem Land.

The song was lifted from Gurrumul's multi-award winning debut double platinum album.

Loverush UK have remixed the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Boy George, and with identities like William Orbit - Madonna, Blur, Prince, Pink, and Britney Spears.

The track - available on iTunes -looks set to become a popular Australian summer anthem too.

OMG dis is good like sh!t hot, I just bought the Long Version from iTunes and WOW!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So there's 2 versions, and a family member I just spoke to on the phone said there's also a Gathu Mawula re-mix that has been heard by some families but it doesn't look like there has been an official release... my guess is that it got leaked out, like Gurrumul gets a CD from Skinnyfish for his private hearing, and then its Bluetoothed to mobiles and from there it just spreads like wildfire. :o

Another thing, check this out, its cool as:

That's all the news for today, g2g!

Good one Kyle, thanks for that, do you like it then or is it not your cup of tea?

The imagery in the YouTube clip is pretty spectacular too, this is the radio mix version.

Just found this, the man himself, watch his guitar work closely and those fingers flying up and down. Gurrumul is going to become pop and rock royalty, I'm sure of it.

Yeah, I like it. I'm not big on the dance scene but I do like the remix. It's his ethereal voice that I really dig.
