Hi all,
I've been playing my didjeridoo for 2 years now. It's a d# Kristian Benton that I ordered from LA Outback. I like it. I keep going back to the ididj youtube posts and wonder at how they play in the traditional style, but I don't even know enough to ask the right questions, or if my instrument will work like that or anything else. I'm going to spend some time here reading and trying to learn and just be a good student for now. I would be very happy to learn even the most basic rhythms in the traditional style. I'm glad all of you are here and I look forward to learning. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Randy. Things have been a bit slow on all didj related forums for some reason....posts are few and far between anymore...though I'm not sure why. This is my first visit/post in probably almost two years....but I "got the bug" again and, despite having no money to buy new sticks these days, I still have an interest in all things didj related. BTW, the Kristian Benton stick you mentioned owning is probably configured more like an N.E. Arnhem Land style instrument - conical, wide bell, narrow mouthpiece...and, as such would be more appropriate for a NEAL style of playing. In my experience, the best way to learn is to just keep blowing away and experimenting...you will find your own special talents and strengths...your own signature sound. As for myself, I learned completely on my own and have developed my own sound.....and as far as I can tell, it's impossible to copy another players sound.
