G'day Rudy,

well I like the look of that French bush- sun and sand, just beautiful. Here (near Sydney) it's cold with a thick mist this morning but because this is Australia the sun will soon be out. We're just heading into our southern winter and I'm eagerly awaiting our spring.

Hi people!
My name is Daniel, I'm from Slovakia and I own a didgeridoo for about 2 months, so I'm new to the playing. I'd like to ask you guys: do you know any easy songs from which I could learn some simple rythms please? I think I'm doing pretty good progress with the didge - I already got a decent drone and event the circular breathing, but I'd like to practice with some more interesting rythms (not just dah-dah-breath-dee-dee-breath... that's a bit boring :) ) so any advice is very welcome.
Thanks.

Hi Daniel
Welcome to our forum, no doubt if you have read other welcomes to new members here you will realise this is where its at especially for anyone wishing to learn traditional playing techniques or anything at all about Aboriginal affairs or culture. As regards rhythms, do you mean trad stuff or contemporary? trad playing is the main addiction for most on this forum and a good idea of this style of playing and whether these rhythms are something that you would like to practise/learn can be had by checking out some of the "ididj" YouTube clips, see this link

http://www.youtube.com/user/ididjaustralia

+ there are a few CD's available which teach the basics of these trad styles. For more contemporary playing have a look through the pages of Ebay under didgeridoo where you will find numerous didgeridoo teaching CD's which will get you off to a good start .

Beat wishes and keep practising

Paul
