Here's one instrument where I'm pretty confident that it's made and painted by Billy himself:

I've purchased it in Maningrida. It's painted in ochres and it's bore is completely untouched and the shape very unlike the Howell sticks.

Sad news about Alan Dargin's death coming out of Australia today... my thoughts are with his family.

And excellently playing one too, I forgot to add.

Yes, very sad news about Alan indeed. I saw him perform at the last Swizzeridoo festival in July 2007. He was looking good and was in a very good mood, making plans for the future and chatting with a lot of people.

What a tragic turn.
