I'm looking at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCcoe-sUALE

Between 15-20 seconds Djalu plays a few notes. But the sounds are kind of "warbled" - I'm not sure how to described the sound or even ask the question. If I play the same tone with a passive voice I don't get the same "warbled" sound as Djalu. Not even close.

What exactly does he do to get that sound?

Hi Harry,

I couldn't hear a "warbled" sound in your example, could you choose another clip to highlight the effect?

I think I know what you mean though but a 2nd clip will allow me to confirm if my assumption.

I know what Harry means. This is just the way Djalu plays as he had a condition which affected one side of his face (palsy?) and also (I assume) one of his vocal cords, which makes his (current) style inimitable!

Kyle

You don't like his sound?
