Here's one of Trevor Jones, the eminent musicologist whose pioneering scholarly work on the didgeridoo gave the instrument the popular recognition and impetus to study and learn it. This pic is from around 1965.

That's a great pic!

Quite an interesting dichotomy with Trevor the serious professor in tailored suit and tie and the rough earthy appearance of the instrument and its bore!
