I think it sound very very good - and it take a lot of pratice to get to your level of playing.

I hear some traditional elements in your playing but the rhythm is distinctively contemporary and the drone still sounds quite Western in nature. It's getting there so keep it up and post more clips in the future so we can see how your playing is developing.

I would be grateful if you could give me a hint how I can make the drone sound more traditional in comparison to the drone I made in the video. I'm trying to put my voice in constantly.
Maybe it's because of not using a termite eaten traditional instrument but a selfmade Didgeridoo.
I'll try to copy this rhythm on my Guwanbal Gurruwiwi Yirdaki and post it here.

Agree with Kyle. One thing to note could be the instrument you are playing on. To me, it did not seem like a yirdaki, which I trust, has great impact on how much traditional you can sound,
So maybe first get a stick from Guan
M.

It takes time to get the passive voice elements to feel and sound natural. Keep listening to the CDs (Hard Tongue, Djalu Teaches etc) and really get a feel for the correct sound so you'll know when you've got it.

The rhythm you're playing in the clip is bouncier and choppier than most traditional style playing. Try playing one of the rhythms detailed on the Hard Tongue CD as this will make it easier to compare to the original.

The instrument you're playing may be pushing some of the higher harmonics up and making them seem brighter but that's not a major concern at the moment. Maybe post one of these rhythms next so we can all hear your version of these building blocks.
