This is a neat little trick for those who want to keep track of new posts since their last visit. You can view the posts by checking out the top right-hand box on the portal page where the box is headed Welcome x, where x is your login username. The portal page is here:

In that box there is a clickable link which says:

View posts since last visit (y), where y is the number of new posts since your last visit.

Or the other way to do it is, once logged in, look at the following url:
