Ladies and gentlemen,

I wanted to share Kooriweb with you all. I have not delved to deeply into it yet but it looks like it may be an important resources for anyone interested in Indiginous politics.

I also recommend that people pick up a copy of 'Beyond a Joke: An Anti-Bicentenary Cartoon Book' - it is very funny, dark and thoughtful.

Finally, Guan has just sent me a copy of 'Snake Dreaming - Autobiography of a Black Woman' by Roberta (Bobbi) Sykes. I will review it for the forum once I have finished.

Dan

Thank you for posting kooriweb.org. This website has so much information on not only native australians, but african americans as well. Gary Foley is definitely on top of his game in the history department.

Yes he is. I completely agree. I hope to meet him one day. Mrs Lindo, I am curious, are you African American? There is a point to my question! There is a film about the rights struggle in Australia called 'This is Our Country Too' that might be of interest.

Hey danielsaan, Yes I am African American. I am the descendant of African slaves who were brought to the U.S. I have never heard of "This is our country too", but I will check on Amazon.com to see if they have it. I'm just a little bit embarrased to say that Gary Foley probably knows more about African American history than I do. I have a whole lot of reading to do. LOL
