Just picked up this book, though have yet to read it in depth. This anthropologist, Nancy Williams, has been working in Yirrkala since 1969, and was present during the court hearings of famous Yirrkala land case of 1970, Milirrpum and Others v. Nabalco Ltd. and the Commonwealth of Australia. Looks like a very thorough and well-informed academic book. Anyone had the chance to look it over?
As far as I know, Ms. Williams is currently a professor of Anthropology at the University of Queensland.
