That was fun, Guan. Thanks for posting them! I still have two big glaring trouble spots. I can not pronouce Narra, yet somehow can roll the r's if I say narraku. The other is consistently placing stress on the first syllable. For example, if you ask me to say yirdaki three times in a row, I will pronounce it close to correct once, maybe twice, but I will lapse into stressing the second syllable at least one out of three tries. Probably not enough rehearsing. I can roll 'r's, but in certain words I find it impossible to do it in context. I need a matha therapist

Hey Ed, yea those kids sounds sooo cute, they're not my recordings by the way but a teacher who works in a community did them.
About narra, do you mean ngarra as in personal pronoun? With rolling the r's in ngarra, trying saying it slow until you get it, then speed it up, same with the emphasis on the first syllable, language is merely practise and practice and more practice...
You can upload audio clips of speech if you like Ed, same goes to anyone, we can get someone from Arnhem Land to get on here and have a listen if you guys need further help.
